1932年アメリカ・ペンシルベニア州ブラッドフォードでG.G.ブレイズデルが創業。

Zippo ボトムコード（製造年代の刻印について）
ジッポー・ライターは、底面の刻印により製造年を確認する事ができます。
古くは1930年代までさかのぼる事ができるこの刻印こそがZippoライター人気の一端を担っている事は言うまでもありません。
